An overview of the city of London

This article is a quick overview of the city of London. It is also a look at the population, a small part of the recent history and how the citizens had the views. Finally, it is London's residents and visitors a quick overview of some sights and activities. All covered in greater detail in this series of articles.

Each of the five largest cities in the world conversation automatically closes London. Or speak you leading financial centres, cultural, educational, political, entertainment centers, is not really important. London will be mentioned as a leader in these and many more categories.

The population of London is quite diverse, and an estimated 300 languages are spoken by its inhabitants. 7.5 Million in the city and district, and a total of 12 to 14 million in the metropolitan area combines these inhabitants number about. This the London u-Bahn area at 18th in the list is one of the largest cities in the world.

London was the largest metropolitan area in the world by the population from 1825 until 1925, but from many cities around the world outdated and probably just as well. The diverse population is a lesson in tolerance, born with 30% of the population outside United Kingdom maybe it is not so much tolerance than apathy. Londoners are not known for their warmth to foreigners, but London is a place of business, and it is necessary to get to do business.

Certainly nobody could not Londoners blame for feeling a little Distain towards the immigrant population, but really. London has long been a goal of a species or other bombings. Without too far back in history can try to imagine, what would it have been to children during the early part of the 20th century are increasing as overhead dropping incendiary bombs on the city had the first world war zeppelins. This was one of the earliest aerial bombings ever, and it took a while before defence mechanisms have been developed to combat the bombing.

The second world war the population in constant fear was even worse if that had German Flash above, the city day and night bombing. A majority of the population headed for rural areas, or at least your children there sent in two situations. Several decades later car bombs detonated were and pubs were targeted. Other attacks took place in the city by the provisional IRA and other groups that caused in the last four decades sympathetic. The latest, the last attacks by Muslim extremists on public transportation systems would cause that many countries to close their borders and take an isolationist attitude, but London seem to know the difference between Christian and Muslim extremists and not show fear or Distain for each of these groups or other attacked over the years. You roll out the red carpet, but show a real openness towards the most people. They show a logical approach to dealing with terrorism.

It may be that using harsh reality in the course of time becomes easier. London has endured pest, civil war, devastating fire, along with bombing and fighting in the last two thousand years and seems of each event and more come.

In all of this London remains one of the most diverse cities in the world.
